You're mid-run, stuck on a boss, and the answer is one search away, but alt-tabbing kills the flow. Guides, wikis, and Discord threads all live outside the game. LayerOP was built to close that gap.
I kept losing the flow every time I went looking, or forgetting the question by the time I got back 🙈. Sure, you could do this in ChatGPT and the like, if you enjoy re-explaining which game you're in and pretending that's still playing. The gaming apps I tried weren't much better either, just promos, sponsored prompts, and ads piled onto a screen that's already busy enough. I wanted something minimal that actually understood the game on my screen.
That's why I built LayerOP.
What is LayerOP?
LayerOP (Layer-O-P works fine) is a lightweight desktop overlay for PC gamers. It sits on top of your game, detects what you're playing, and lets you ask questions without leaving the action.
It doesn't matter what you're playing: MMO, MOBA, roguelike, single-player RPG, survival, strategy, whatever. If it's on your screen, LayerOP adapts to the context. Build advice, quest hints, lore lookups, patch notes, with answers right where you need them. No second monitor required, no browser on the side, just a small overlay that stays out of the way until you need it (seriously, it's elegant, not loud, and gives you the direct info you want 🙌).
Built for how you actually play
LayerOP assumes you're in a match, a raid, or a ranked queue. The overlay opens when you want it and gets out of the way when you don't.
When you switch games, hit refresh and LayerOP picks up the new title. Same session, new context. No restart, no reconfiguration.

LayerOP is available for Windows and macOS. Pick the option that fits your setup from the download buttons on the home page.
What we're shipping in V1
The first release focuses on one thing done well: KNOW. Ask a question, get an answer, scoped to the game on your screen. We're not trying to automate your gameplay or click buttons for you. LayerOP is intelligence, not autopilot.
